Merry Christmas

From the desk of Lachie:

Merry Christmas everyone!

and if you’re reading from a place that’s slightly in the past then this can be your pre-emptive well wishes.

It’s been a big year turning on the tap music wise, I’ve met and played with some fantastic people and really delved into recording, while my writing has been stunted a fair amount the control of my voice and knowledge of the vocal anatomy has been fantastic and really improved my singing.  With uni finished I have moved onto being a somewhat respectable  member of the work force to gather much needed funds for a 6 month stint in europe from april 2012.

Thanks to everyone who has come to my gigs, supported my shows, bought my merch and most of all enjoyed my music that i make for you all.  Because without people to write for there is no point being an entertainer.

Thank you all very much once more and we’ll see each other in the new year very soon.

Lachie

p.s. if you want to help get me out of the country please head along to the webstore and purchase something  they’re all 20% off with a bonus badge until Jan 1.

And so it goes…

FROM THE DESK OF LACHIE:

JMC studies almost completly finished!

The last week for me has been a hectic one however I am so glad I have done it!

First
of all Don Cladue Devious: Cannibal Rapture was an amazing thing to be
apart of and the fact that I brought to life someone’s idea in the form
of an egotistical psychotic villian was very special.  I feel like Don
Claude is part of me now also, this must be what the first Phantom or
first Jean Valjean would have felt coming out of their respective first
ever seasons and I would love to do it all again!

I encourage
those who missed the last weeks performances of Cannibal Rapture get a
copy of the DVD when it is released cos it was the very first and so is
something special.

As for monday night that was also amazing! Some
very outstanding acts played at The Order of Melbourne for the JMC
final Recitals, I felt energised and on top of the world.  I will be sad
to finish up for good as the people I met there are fantastic, both
fellow students and lecturers, but I’m sure happy the study and raging
will be over!

I have 2 things to share

1.
For one of my assignments I had to make a cross over composition, this
song I have had for ages but never the time or know how to really bring
it together so… heading to my facebook page will let you have a listen to the finished arrangement of Red to Black

2.
The recital performance was filmed by my partner, Claire (on an iphone
mind you but filmed none the less) and is also up at the facebook page

On
another note… I would also like very much to help out my friends at
Spinning Half who have given me many opportunities to play live and are
great people to work for in an industry that is filled with morons.

they
have managed to get some big names to Geelong to light the live music
scene up again and they need help to get people to go to the XZIBIT gig
they have organised at the Arena on the 4th of December, head along to www.spinninghalf.com.au for tickets and more info.

They have done and are doing heaps for us so if that’s your thing get along!

THANKS TO EVERYONE…

who
has come and seen me live, who has played with me live, who has worked
on my recordings, who has been an ear for  my recordings, who has put up
with me at all hours of the day and night.

See you all again very soon!

Lachie!
